WPCodeForge

Software Licence Agreement

Last updated: 23 August 2026

This Software Licence Agreement governs your use of WordPress plugins and other software made available by WPCodeForge.

WPCodeForge creates software designed to make WordPress websites more powerful, secure and easier to manage. This Agreement explains what you are permitted to do with WPCodeForge software, what you must not do, how licences and updates work, and the rights that WPCodeForge retains in its software.

Please read this Agreement before installing or using WPCodeForge software.

By purchasing, downloading, installing, activating or using a WPCodeForge product, you agree to be bound by the terms applicable to that product, including this Agreement and any product-specific licence terms presented to you when purchasing or downloading the software.

If you do not agree to these terms, you must not install or use the relevant software.

Nothing in this Agreement excludes or restricts any statutory right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.

1. About WPCodeForge

2. Definitions

In this Agreement:

“WPCodeForge”, “we”, “us” or “our” means WPCodeForge.

“You” or “your” means the individual or organisation obtaining, installing or using the Software.

“Software” means the WPCodeForge plugin, application, script, extension, module, library or other software product to which this Agreement applies.

“Product” means the particular WPCodeForge software product you have obtained.

“Licence” means the permission granted to you to use the Software under this Agreement and any applicable product-specific terms.

“Licence Key” means an activation key, licence key, token or other identifier supplied for a paid WPCodeForge product where applicable.

“Website” means a WordPress website on which the Software is installed or used.

“Free Software” means a WPCodeForge product or version supplied without a purchase fee.

“Paid Software” means a WPCodeForge product or version supplied in return for payment.

3. Grant of Licence

Subject to your compliance with this Agreement and payment of any applicable fees, WPCodeForge grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the Software for the purposes for which it was supplied.

The licence does not transfer ownership of the Software to you.

Unless the applicable Product terms expressly provide otherwise, you receive permission to use the Software, not ownership of the underlying software, source code, intellectual property or WPCodeForge branding.

Your licence is subject to any applicable product-specific terms, licence limits, activation limits or subscription terms presented to you when obtaining the Product.

4. Scope of Your Licence

Your permitted use depends on the particular Product and licence purchased.

A licence may, for example, specify:

  • The number of websites on which the Software may be used.
  • Whether use is permitted on staging or development websites.
  • Whether the licence is personal or commercial.
  • Whether the licence is perpetual or subscription-based.
  • The period for which updates are available.
  • The period for which support is available.
  • The number of activations permitted.
  • Whether the licence may be transferred.

The specific terms presented with a Product take precedence where they expressly vary the general provisions of this Agreement.

5. Ownership of the Software

Except for third-party software and material subject to separate licences, WPCodeForge retains all applicable rights, title and interest in the Software and its associated intellectual property.

This includes, where applicable:

  • Source code.
  • Object code.
  • Software architecture.
  • Original functionality.
  • Documentation.
  • Graphics.
  • User-interface elements.
  • WPCodeForge branding.
  • Product names.
  • Logos.
  • Website content.
  • Other proprietary materials.

Copyright protection for computer programs and other software-related works is governed in the UK by the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988.

Nothing in this Agreement transfers ownership of WPCodeForge intellectual property to you.

6. Open-Source and Third-Party Components

WPCodeForge Software may contain, depend upon, interact with or distribute components created by third parties.

Some components may be distributed under open-source licences, including licences that grant rights beyond those granted by this Agreement.

Where a component is subject to a separate open-source or third-party licence, that licence will apply to the relevant component.

Nothing in this Agreement is intended to restrict rights that you are entitled to exercise under an applicable open-source licence.

Where a Product incorporates WordPress or other software distributed under an open-source licence, the applicable licence terms for that software continue to apply.

This Agreement therefore does not claim ownership of third-party code that WPCodeForge does not own.

7. WordPress and GPL-Licensed Components

WPCodeForge plugins may interact with WordPress and may include code subject to the GNU General Public License (GPL) or another applicable open-source licence.

Where the GPL or another third-party licence applies to particular code, your rights in that code are governed by the applicable licence.

Any proprietary WPCodeForge services, documentation, trademarks, artwork, licence-management systems, websites and other materials remain subject to their applicable rights and terms to the extent permitted by law.

Nothing in this Agreement is intended to override the terms of the GPL or another applicable open-source licence.

8. Permitted Use

Subject to the applicable licence, you may:

  • Install the Software on authorised Websites.
  • Use the Software for its intended purpose.
  • Configure the Software for your legitimate requirements.
  • Use the Software for personal or commercial purposes where your licence permits commercial use.
  • Create reasonable backups of the Software where permitted by applicable law and the relevant licence.
  • Use the Software in connection with websites you operate or are authorised to manage.

You remain responsible for ensuring that your use complies with this Agreement and any applicable Product-specific restrictions.

9. Prohibited Use

Unless expressly permitted by this Agreement, the applicable Product licence or applicable law, you must not:

  • Sell the WPCodeForge Software itself.
  • Rent, lease or sublicense the Software.
  • Distribute paid WPCodeForge Software to unauthorised users.
  • Provide your Licence Key to another person for their use.
  • Circumvent licence restrictions.
  • Bypass activation or licence verification mechanisms.
  • Remove technical protections intended to enforce legitimate licence restrictions.
  • Create a competing product substantially based on proprietary WPCodeForge code.
  • Misrepresent yourself as WPCodeForge.
  • Remove copyright or proprietary notices where doing so is not permitted.
  • Use WPCodeForge branding in a way that suggests an unauthorised affiliation.
  • Use the Software for unlawful purposes.
  • Deliberately interfere with WPCodeForge’s licence-management or update systems.
  • Attempt to obtain paid functionality without the applicable licence.
  • Continue using a paid Software licence after its lawful termination or expiry.

These restrictions do not override rights that cannot lawfully be restricted, including rights arising under applicable open-source licences or mandatory statutory provisions.

10. Modification of the Software

Unless otherwise stated by the applicable licence, you may configure the Software for your own legitimate use.

Whether you may modify, adapt, redistribute or create derivative versions of particular components depends on the licence governing those components.

Where proprietary WPCodeForge code is involved, modification does not transfer ownership of that code to you.

Where applicable law or an open-source licence gives you rights to modify particular software, nothing in this Agreement is intended to remove those rights.

11. Licence Keys and Activation

Some WPCodeForge Products may require a Licence Key or other activation mechanism.

Where applicable, you must keep your Licence Key confidential and must not intentionally provide it to unauthorised persons.

A Licence Key may be associated with:

  • A customer account.
  • A purchase.
  • A Product.
  • A permitted number of Websites.
  • A subscription.
  • A licence period.

WPCodeForge may use technical systems to verify whether a Licence Key is valid and whether the associated Product is being used in accordance with the applicable licence.

12. Licence Verification

Where a Product uses licence verification, the Software may communicate with WPCodeForge systems for purposes such as:

  • Activating the Product.
  • Confirming licence status.
  • Validating authorised Websites.
  • Providing updates.
  • Managing subscriptions.
  • Detecting invalid or unauthorised activations.
  • Protecting against software piracy.
  • Maintaining the security of the licence system.

The information processed for these purposes will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the WPCodeForge Privacy Policy.

The technical operation of licence verification may vary between Products.

13. Updates

WPCodeForge may provide Software updates from time to time.

Updates may contain:

  • Bug fixes.
  • Security fixes.
  • Compatibility improvements.
  • Performance improvements.
  • New functionality.
  • Changes to existing functionality.
  • Changes required to maintain compatibility with WordPress or other software.

The availability and duration of updates depends on the applicable Product and licence.

A paid licence may provide access to updates for a specified period rather than indefinitely.

14. Automatic Updates

Where technically available, WPCodeForge may provide automatic updates or allow WordPress to manage updates through its standard mechanisms.

You are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups before performing significant software updates.

WPCodeForge does not guarantee that every update will be compatible with every combination of WordPress version, theme, plugin, hosting environment or server configuration.

15. Security Updates

WPCodeForge may release security updates where a security issue is identified.

Users should install appropriate security updates within a reasonable period.

Failure to install available security updates may increase the risk of security vulnerabilities, compatibility problems or other technical issues.

WPCodeForge does not guarantee that every security issue can be identified or resolved immediately.

16. Support

Support availability depends on the Product and the applicable purchase or subscription terms.

Where support is included, WPCodeForge may provide assistance with:

  • Installation.
  • Configuration.
  • Product functionality.
  • Known compatibility issues.
  • Bug reports.
  • Licence activation.

Support does not necessarily include:

  • Custom WordPress development.
  • Custom theme development.
  • Custom plugin development.
  • General website administration.
  • Hosting administration.
  • Third-party software support.
  • Recovery of improperly configured websites.
  • Removal of malware unrelated to the Software.

Where a Product explicitly includes additional support services, the relevant Product terms will apply.

17. Backups

You are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of your Website and its data.

Before installing, updating, modifying or removing Software, you should maintain a current and recoverable backup where appropriate.

WPCodeForge does not guarantee that your Website can be restored following a software update, configuration change, hosting failure or other event.

18. Compatibility

WPCodeForge aims to develop Software that operates correctly in supported environments.

However, WordPress websites can contain numerous combinations of:

  • WordPress versions.
  • PHP versions.
  • Web servers.
  • Hosting providers.
  • Themes.
  • Plugins.
  • Security systems.
  • Caching systems.
  • Server configurations.
  • Custom code.

WPCodeForge does not guarantee compatibility with every possible configuration.

Where compatibility requirements are published for a Product, you are responsible for reviewing them before installation.

19. Your Responsibility for Your Website

You remain responsible for your Website, including:

  • Website content.
  • User accounts.
  • Website security.
  • Hosting.
  • Backups.
  • WordPress configuration.
  • Third-party plugins.
  • Themes.
  • Custom code.
  • Legal compliance.
  • Data protection.
  • Website access controls.

WPCodeForge Software is a tool for use within your Website and does not transfer responsibility for your Website’s operation to WPCodeForge.

20. Security and Website Protection

Where a Product provides security-related functionality, that functionality is intended to assist with website security.

It should not be treated as a guarantee that a Website will never be compromised.

No software can guarantee protection against every vulnerability, attack, configuration error or security incident.

You should use appropriate security practices in addition to any WPCodeForge security functionality.

21. AI-Assisted Development

WPCodeForge may use artificial intelligence and other development tools to assist with software development, testing, research, documentation or related activities.

AI-assisted development does not transfer ownership of WPCodeForge Software to an AI provider.

WPCodeForge remains responsible for reviewing and maintaining its Products to the extent appropriate.

The use of AI-assisted development does not constitute a representation that Software is error-free or that every element was produced entirely without automated assistance.

22. Your Data

WPCodeForge may process information associated with the use of its Products where necessary to provide functionality, licence management, support, security or updates.

The information collected and the purposes for which it is processed vary between Products.

You should consult the relevant Product documentation and WPCodeForge Privacy Policy for information about applicable data processing.

You remain responsible for ensuring that your use of WPCodeForge Software complies with data-protection obligations applicable to your own Website or organisation.

23. Personal Data Processed by Your Website

A WPCodeForge plugin may operate within a Website that processes personal information belonging to the Website’s visitors or users.

Where you use a WPCodeForge plugin to process personal information, you remain responsible for determining your legal obligations as the operator of that Website.

This may include obligations relating to:

  • Privacy notices.
  • Cookies.
  • Consent.
  • Data retention.
  • Data security.
  • Data-subject rights.
  • International transfers.
  • Other applicable data-protection requirements.

WPCodeForge does not provide legal advice through its Software.

24. Free Products

Where WPCodeForge supplies Software free of charge, the applicable licence still governs your use of that Software.

A free Product may have different:

  • Features.
  • Support.
  • Update availability.
  • Licence restrictions.
  • Activation requirements.

from a paid version.

WPCodeForge may change or discontinue a free Product where permitted by the applicable licence and law.

25. Paid Products

Paid Products are supplied subject to the applicable licence and purchase terms.

Payment for Software does not automatically provide ownership of the underlying intellectual property.

Instead, payment generally provides the licence rights specified for the relevant Product.

The exact scope of those rights may vary between Products.

26. Subscription Licences

Where a Product is supplied under a subscription licence, your right to use the relevant paid functionality may depend on maintaining an active subscription.

Subscription terms may specify:

  • Billing frequency.
  • Licence duration.
  • Renewal arrangements.
  • Cancellation arrangements.
  • Update entitlement.
  • Support entitlement.
  • Activation limits.

The terms presented during purchase will apply to the relevant subscription, subject to applicable law.

27. Licence Expiry

Where a licence expires, your rights after expiry depend on the Product’s licence terms.

For example, expiry may result in:

  • Loss of access to updates.
  • Loss of support.
  • Loss of licence verification.
  • Deactivation of paid functionality.
  • Requirement to renew before continued use.

A Product-specific licence may expressly provide for continued use of a version obtained during the licence period, in which case those terms will apply.

28. Licence Termination

WPCodeForge may terminate or suspend a licence where permitted by the applicable agreement or law, including where you materially breach the licence terms.

Examples may include:

  • Deliberate licence circumvention.
  • Unauthorised redistribution.
  • Deliberate sharing of paid activation credentials.
  • Fraudulent use.
  • Deliberate infringement of WPCodeForge intellectual property.
  • Continued use after a licence has been lawfully terminated.

Where appropriate and legally required, WPCodeForge may provide notice and an opportunity to remedy a breach before termination.

Nothing in this section limits any mandatory consumer rights.

29. Effect of Termination

When a licence is validly terminated, you must stop using the Software to the extent required by the applicable licence.

Where appropriate, this may include:

  • Deactivating the Software.
  • Removing the Software.
  • Removing unauthorised copies.
  • Ceasing use of paid functionality.
  • Ceasing use of associated Licence Keys.

Termination does not affect rights or obligations that accrued before termination.

Provisions that by their nature should continue after termination may remain effective, including provisions concerning intellectual property, liability, confidentiality, disputes and applicable law.

30. Refunds and Licence Termination

If WPCodeForge grants a refund for a Product, the refund may terminate the licence associated with that Product unless WPCodeForge expressly states otherwise.

You must then cease using the refunded Product in accordance with the applicable refund terms.

Our Refund & Cancellation Policy contains additional provisions concerning refunds, licence termination and continued use following a refund.

WPCodeForge may use reasonable technical measures to identify whether a refunded Product remains activated or is being used under a terminated licence.

31. Unauthorised Use After a Refund

A customer who receives a refund is not entitled to retain the commercial benefit of a paid licence indefinitely unless the applicable terms expressly permit continued use.

Where a refund terminates your licence, continued use may constitute unauthorised use.

WPCodeForge may take proportionate and lawful steps to enforce its intellectual-property and contractual rights.

This may include disabling licence activation, withdrawing updates or support, contacting the customer, requesting removal of the Software, or pursuing other remedies available under applicable law.

WPCodeForge will not impose arbitrary or undisclosed charges merely because software has been refunded.

32. Intellectual Property Infringement

You must not knowingly use the Software in a manner that infringes WPCodeForge’s intellectual-property rights or the rights of third parties.

Nothing in this Agreement transfers intellectual-property ownership to you.

Where applicable, WPCodeForge may take legal action to protect its intellectual property.

Available remedies may include those provided by applicable copyright, trade-mark, contract and other laws.

33. Trade Marks and Branding

WPCodeForge names, logos, product names and other branding may be protected by intellectual-property rights.

Unless expressly authorised, you must not use WPCodeForge branding in a manner that suggests:

  • You are WPCodeForge.
  • WPCodeForge sponsors you.
  • WPCodeForge endorses your business.
  • You are an authorised representative.
  • Your product is an official WPCodeForge product.

This does not restrict lawful descriptive or nominative use permitted by applicable law.

34. Reverse Engineering

Nothing in this Agreement is intended to prohibit a right to decompile or otherwise analyse software where that right cannot lawfully be excluded.

Where applicable law permits WPCodeForge to restrict reverse engineering, decompilation or disassembly, you must not undertake those activities except as permitted by law.

Nothing in this section restricts rights granted by an applicable open-source licence.

35. Interoperability

Where applicable law gives you a right to perform an act for the purpose of achieving interoperability that cannot lawfully be restricted, this Agreement does not remove that right.

Any such activity must remain within the scope permitted by applicable law.

36. No Unlawful Circumvention

You must not deliberately circumvent technical protection measures for the purpose of obtaining functionality, updates, licences or other benefits for which you do not have an entitlement.

This includes attempting to defeat licence verification, activation controls or other legitimate access controls.

37. Third-Party Services

Some WPCodeForge Products may interact with third-party services.

Third-party services may include:

  • WordPress services.
  • Hosting services.
  • Payment providers.
  • APIs.
  • Analytics services.
  • Security services.
  • Cloud services.
  • Other software.

WPCodeForge is not responsible for changes made by independent third-party providers that affect compatibility or availability.

Your use of a third-party service may also be governed by that provider’s own terms and policies.

38. Open-Source Licence Rights

If a component of the Software is distributed under an open-source licence, that licence may grant rights to use, copy, modify or redistribute the relevant component.

Those rights continue to apply according to the applicable licence.

This Agreement must not be interpreted as granting WPCodeForge rights that it does not possess or as removing rights that an applicable open-source licence expressly grants to you.

39. Product Documentation

Documentation provided by WPCodeForge is intended to explain the intended operation and use of its Products.

Documentation may be updated from time to time.

Where documentation contains technical requirements or limitations, you should review the current version before installing or deploying the relevant Product.

40. Product Changes

WPCodeForge may improve, modify, update or discontinue particular features where permitted by the applicable Product terms and law.

Changes may be necessary because of:

  • Security issues.
  • WordPress changes.
  • Third-party changes.
  • Technical limitations.
  • Performance requirements.
  • Legal requirements.
  • Product development.
  • Compatibility requirements.

For paid consumer digital content, mandatory statutory rights concerning conformity and remedies continue to apply. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 provides statutory protections for digital content, including requirements concerning satisfactory quality, fitness for purpose and conformity with description.

41. No Guarantee of Continuous Availability

WPCodeForge does not guarantee that its:

  • Websites.
  • Licence servers.
  • Download systems.
  • Update servers.
  • Documentation.
  • Support systems.

will always be available without interruption.

Temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, security incidents, technical problems, hosting failures, network problems or circumstances outside WPCodeForge’s reasonable control.

42. No Guarantee of Error-Free Software

WPCodeForge aims to develop reliable Software and correct material defects when identified.

However, no software can reasonably be guaranteed to be completely free from defects or errors in every environment.

Nothing in this section limits statutory rights that apply to consumers.

43. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

In particular, nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
  • Breach of statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
  • Any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

Subject to the above, WPCodeForge will not be responsible for losses that are not reasonably foreseeable or for losses arising outside the scope of the contractual relationship, to the extent permitted by law.

Where you are a consumer, liability limitations will apply only to the extent that they are fair and lawful.

The Consumer Rights Act 2015 restricts traders from contracting out of specified statutory digital-content rights and provides that consumer terms must satisfy statutory fairness requirements.

44. Business Customers

If you acquire Software wholly or mainly for purposes relating to your trade, business, craft or profession, different contractual rules may apply from those applicable to consumers.

Subject to applicable law, WPCodeForge’s liability to business customers may be limited by the applicable Product terms.

Nothing in this Agreement excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

45. Consumer Rights

If you are a consumer, nothing in this Agreement affects your statutory rights.

Digital content supplied to consumers is subject to statutory protections under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Where Software does not conform to the applicable contract, statutory remedies may be available.

You should contact WPCodeForge if you believe that a Product does not conform to the contract.

46. No Professional Advice

WPCodeForge Software and documentation are not a substitute for professional legal, financial, security, medical or other professional advice.

Where a Product provides security-related functionality, it should not be treated as a guarantee of compliance with a particular legal, regulatory or security standard.

You remain responsible for obtaining professional advice where necessary.

47. Security Vulnerabilities

If you discover a potential security vulnerability in WPCodeForge Software, please report it responsibly through our contact form.

Do not intentionally access, modify, delete or disclose information belonging to other users.

Our Security Disclosure Policy contains additional information about reporting security issues.

48. Your Responsibility for Third-Party Code

If you modify WPCodeForge Software or combine it with third-party code, you are responsible for ensuring that your resulting configuration complies with applicable licences and law.

WPCodeForge cannot guarantee the behaviour of third-party code that it does not control.

49. Backups and Data Loss

You should maintain appropriate backups before installing or updating software.

WPCodeForge is not responsible for loss of data caused by circumstances outside the liability that can lawfully be imposed on WPCodeForge.

This does not exclude any statutory liability that cannot legally be excluded.

50. Assignment

You may not transfer or assign a personal or restricted Software licence to another person unless the applicable Product terms expressly permit it or WPCodeForge provides written permission.

WPCodeForge may transfer or assign its rights and obligations where legally permitted, including as part of a business restructuring, sale or transfer of the relevant business or assets.

Any such transfer will not reduce mandatory consumer rights.

51. No Waiver

If WPCodeForge does not immediately enforce a provision of this Agreement, that does not mean WPCodeForge has permanently waived the right to enforce it later.

Any waiver must be considered in the circumstances in which it occurs.

52. Severability

If a court or other competent authority determines that any provision of this Agreement is invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be modified or removed to the minimum extent necessary.

The remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

53. Entire Agreement

This Agreement, together with any applicable Product-specific terms, purchase terms, licence terms, Privacy Policy, Refund & Cancellation Policy and other terms expressly incorporated into the relevant transaction, forms the agreement governing your use of the applicable Software.

Where a Product-specific term expressly conflicts with this general Agreement, the Product-specific term will apply to that particular Product or licence.

Mandatory statutory rights always take precedence over contractual provisions to the extent required by law.

54. Changes to This Agreement

WPCodeForge may update this Software Licence Agreement from time to time.

Changes may be necessary because of:

  • New Products.
  • Changes to licensing models.
  • Changes to software functionality.
  • Changes to applicable law.
  • Changes to security practices.
  • Changes to business operations.
  • Changes to licence-management systems.

The current version published on this page applies to use of Software where applicable, subject to the terms that formed part of your original contract and any mandatory legal rights.

Where a change materially affects an existing customer relationship and applicable law requires notice or consent, WPCodeForge will follow the applicable requirements.

55. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales, except where mandatory law applicable to a consumer requires otherwise.

Subject to applicable consumer protections, the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction over disputes arising from or relating to this Agreement.

If you are a consumer living in another part of the United Kingdom or another jurisdiction where mandatory consumer protections provide you with additional rights, those rights are not excluded by this Agreement.

56. Disputes

If you have a dispute concerning Software, WPCodeForge encourages you to contact us first so that we can attempt to resolve the matter directly.

Please use our contact form.

Please provide your order number, Product name and a clear description of the issue where applicable.

Nothing in this section prevents you from exercising a statutory right or pursuing a remedy available to you under applicable law.
